Healthy Snacks to Keep Handy When Hunger Strikes While Working-from-Home

We need something to munch in between meals irrespective we are working from office or home. If we don’t have a snacking plan, we might end up consuming unhealthy junk. Instead of reaching out for the bag of chips, soda, etc. we can prepare some healthy titbits to munch on. Prepare these sweet and savoury recipes to prepare while working from home:

Zucchini Cheese Pops

Mix some grated zucchini, salt, pepper, ground garlic, thyme, basil, flour, parmesan cheese. Scoop the batter and shallow fry in olive oil until golden brown. Serve hot with a Del Monte Tandoori mayonnaise dip.

Paneer Tikka

Start with chopping thick slices of capsicum, onion, cottage cheese, tomato, and mushroom. Stack the veggies into bamboo skewers. Brush some Del Monte Tandoori mayonnaise. Grill in a hot grill pan until cooked. Serve the paneer tikka with a side of pudina dip.

Sourdough Bruschetta

Toast some slices of crusty sourdough bread. On the first piece of toast, drizzle Del Monte olive oil and top up with hummus, roasted cherry tomatoes, basil leaves. Sprinkle some zaatar and indulge in this tasty snack. On the second toast, add fresh avocado slices and top with some lemon juice, chili flakes, and chopped cilantro.

Sweet & Savoury Rice Cakes

Rice cakes make for versatile snack recipes. Place three rice cakes on a serving dish. On the first one, spread some hummus and top with sundried tomatoes, and fresh basil leaves. On the second one, spread some cream cheese and top with caramelized mushrooms and fresh dill. For the sweet one, top a rice cake with unsweetened hazelnut butter and top with banana slices and cinnamon powder.

Baked Vegetable Chips with Dips

To make the classic guacamole dip, mix avocado, coriander, salt, pepper, lemon juice, onion, tomato. Blitz in a blender for 5-10 seconds for a smoother consistency. To make hummus dip, mix hummus with spicy harissa paste and top with pomegranates and mint. Bake some sweet potato and beetroot with a touch of Del Monte olive oil, and paprika. Season with salt and pepper while it is hot. Serve these delicious dips with a side of chips to dunk into it. You can also serve some falafel with the dips.

Healthy Pineapple Muffins

This tropical breakfast muffin is made with fibre-rich chia seeds and other wholesome ingredients. To make the batter, mix oats flour, chia seeds, Del Monte pineapple slices, Del Monte olive oil, and coconut sugar. Fill muffin moulds with batter and bake at 350 for 15 minutes. Glaze the warm muffins with a sweet pineapple glaze. Batch make these muffins and refrigerate it in airtight containers for 3 days.
