Delicious & Warming Breakfast Recipes for Cold Winter Mornings

Winter mornings call for hearty and comforting breakfasts. We all struggle to get up in the cold winter mornings.   • Spiced Pancakes

To make the pancake batter, blitz oatmeal, banana, ground cinnamon, nutmeg, and baking powder in a food processor. Heat some Del Monte extra virgin olive oil in a flat pan. Pour in a ladle of the batter in a pan and cook for 2 to 3 minutes on each side. For the spiced maple syrup, add two tablespoons of maple syrup in a saucepan with a cinnamon stick, star anise, clove, nutmeg, and orange zest. Serve the pancakes hot with the spiced orange maple syrup.

  • Avo & Egg Toast

This recipe makes for a delicious savory breakfast recipe. Cut thick slices of sourdough bread or baguette. Grill the bread slices in a pan with a drizzle of Del Monte olive oil. Remove the bread and rub with a garlic clove. Add some ripe avocados, and sprinkle with red chili flakes. Add a six-minute egg. Garnish with freshly crushed pepper and serve warm.

  • Oatmeal Porridge

Start with cooking rolled oats in almond milk with a dollop of almond butter, ripe bananas, vanilla paste. Cook it on low heat for 10 minutes. For toppings, you can choose almond butter, pumpkin seeds, hemp seeds, and pistachio nuts. Serve hot in a bowl and top with some stewed strawberries.

  • Waffles with Baked Fruits

In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking soda, ground cinnamon, butter, and egg. Pour a ladle of the mix in the waffle mold and cook until golden. Add coconut sugar, powdered cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon, maple syrup, and orange zest to make the baking spice mix. In a large baking dish, place some chopped apples, pears, apricots, and cranberries. Coat the fruits well with the spice mix. Bake at 180 for an hour. Serve the waffles with baked fruits and lemon drizzle.

  • Classic French Toast

Slice thick pieces of brioche bread. Make a mixture of eggs, milk, sugar and orange zest. Dip the bread in the mixture and fry it in unsalted butter. To make spiced maple syrup, heat some maple syrup, orange zest, and vanilla extract. Place the French toasts on a plate and drizzle over the hot maple syrup.
