10th Anniversary Special MasterChef Australia

MasterChef Australia is popular and the longest-running franchise of MasterChef. Recently MasterChef Australia debuted its Season 10 and celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2018. What a magnificent season with the superstar judges Gary Mehigan, George Colambaris, Matt Preston! On this season they guest Chefs like Nigella Lawson, Heston Blumenthal, Gordon Ramsay, Maggie Bear, Curtis Stone, etc. This competitive cooking show shortlists the top 24 out of a group of amateur cooks.

The top 24 contestants then have to go through various challenges and elimination rounds to secure their place in the competition. The semi-finals of season 10 was a tough competition and eventually, Sashi Cheliah emerged as the winner. This was by far the most exciting season in 10 years. There was an exciting road trip with Heston Blumenthal around the countryside of Australia celebrating the elements of air, water, fire, and earth. Cooking on the spectacular salt bed of the Mari river sounds almost dreamy! This season also witnessed challenges that were given to the contestants.

It was so amazing to have the dessert queen Nigella Lawson teach the contestants the art of decadence. And the most thrilling part was having Gordon Ramsay in the Kitchen mentoring the candidates. Maggie Bear stunned us with her homely yet delicious recipes. The contestants visited Maggie’s estate on a cook-off challenge. The top contestants had to through several elimination rounds, pressure tests to get to the top of the pack. Some of the contestants got the opportunity to win an immunity pin on a cook-off with a celebrity chef. The pressure tests were ramped up a notch to make it more challenging.
