A Guide to Seasonal Summer Salad Recipes that Tastes Delicious

Eating seasonal and local is not only affordable but also healthy. It also helps us to support local farmers and business. While frozen food is ok at times, we must consider that frozen food often has less nutritional value as compared to fresh food. Every season is filled with seasonal fruits, vegetables, and herbs. Drizzle over the dressing and top with toasted coconut. Garnish with mint leaves and serve with a side of sticky rice. Traditionally this mango salad is served with a side of sweet coconut rice.

Fruit Salad

Fresh fruits are a wonderful way to stay hydrated. Slice some watermelon, pineapples and place in a bowl. Add some ripe mangoes, kiwi. To make the lemon drizzle, add lemon juice, apple cider vinegar, mint leaves, pepper, in a jar and give it a shake. Drizzle over the dressing and top with some pomegranate seeds and passionfruit. Serve this salad cold with some fresh watermelon juice.

Greek Salad

This mezze bowl is not only wholesome but also tastes delicious. Chop some English cucumbers, Del Monte black olives, red onions, cherry tomatoes, and feta cheese. To make the dressing, mix lemon juice, olive oil, oregano, fresh basil, salt, and apple cider vinegar. To assemble the salad, add the veggies, hers and cheese. Top it with shreds of bagel bread and drizzle the dressing.

Mediterranean Nourish Bowl Salad

In a bowl, toss some chopped, tomato, zucchini, cucumber, lettuce, radish, cooked chickpeas, red onions, and pita bread croutons. To make a refreshing minty hummus dressing, blitz lemon juice, mint leaves, olive oil, salt, homemade hummus, and pepper. In a bowl add the chopped veggies, and top with some cooked falafels. Drizzle over the dressing and serve cold.
